  • Reading Data: Books you add, reading progress, and chapter completion status.
  • Quiz Responses: Your answers to comprehension quizzes and associated scores.
  • Payment Information: When you make purchases, payment details are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full payment card details.

b) Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and browser type.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve the Service, specifically to:

  • Provide and maintain your account and reading progress.
  • Generate personalized comprehension quizzes using AI.
  • Power features such as streaks, leaderboards, and reading statistics.
  • Process transactions and send related information.
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the app experience.
  • Send important updates about the Service.
  • Respond to your requests and support inquiries.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following categories of third-party services to operate the Service. These providers may receive or process your data as described:

  • Authentication & Database: We use cloud infrastructure providers (currently Supabase) to store your account and reading data securely.
  • Analytics: We use analytics tools (currently PostHog) to understand how users interact with the Service. This data is used to improve the app and is not sold.
  • AI Services: We use AI providers (currently Google Gemini) to generate comprehension quizzes. Book content excerpts may be sent to these providers for quiz generation.
  • Payment Processing: Payments are handled by third-party processors (currently Razorpay). We do not store your complete payment information.

Each third-party provider operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent: When you explicitly agree to share information.
  • Service providers: With the third-party services described in Section 4, solely to operate the Service.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • Leaderboards: Your reading progress and username may be visible to other users through leaderboard features.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
